Share Weekend Preview: Jets battle Armada on home ice Saturday

The Cape Breton Jets will put their three-game winning streak on the line when they host the Basin Armada at the New Waterford and District Community Centre on Saturday.Game time is 7:30 p.m.
The Jets enter the weekend game tied with the Armada for third place in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget 'AAA' Hockey League standings. Cape Breton has a 3-1-0-1 record, while Basin is 3-0-1-0, and remains one of only two teams in the league without a regulation loss.
Cape Breton is led offensively by Nathaniel Fuller (four goals and one assist) and Jason Johnson (three goals and two assists). Johnson powered the offense last weekend, recording three goals and two assists to help the Jets defeat the Dartmouth Voyageurs in New Waterford.
Brayden Larade, Ryan Chisholm and Ben Leudy round out the offense for the Jets with four points each.
As for the Armada, who own a two-game winning streak entering the weekend, they're led by Morgan Lake (two goals and two assists), followed by Ben Bryant (two goals), Matthew Burden (one goal and one assist), Conor Greenfield (two assists), Maxwell Pellerine (two assists) and Aaron Pedvis (two assists).
Jonathan Dolomont has appeared in four games for the Jets this season. He enters the weekend with a 2-2 record along with a 3.46 goals-against-average and a 0.840 save percentage. Andre LeClair is 1-0 with a perfect 1.000 save percentage.
Aidan Perry and Ty Allison hold down the goaltending duties for the Armada. Perry has played three games this season, posting a 2-1 record with a 1.57 goals-against-average and a 0.930 save percentage. Allison is 1-0 with a 1.000 save percentage.
Following Saturday's game, the Jets will return to action when they host the Sackville/East Hants ChiroCare Kings in a Remembance Day contest on Nov. 11 at the New Waterford and District Community Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
