The Jets and ChiroCare Kings have met once this season with Cape Breton taking the contest 3-2 in overtime on Oct. 15 at the Sackville Arena.
Cape Breton and Sackville/East Hants enter Saturday's game tied for fifth place in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget 'AAA' Hockey League with seven points each. The Jets have a 3-2-0-1 record and are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Basin Armada on Oct. 28. Meanwhile, the ChiroCare Kings have a record of 2-2-3-0 and enter the game after a 4-3 win over the Dartmouth Voyageurs on Oct. 29.
The Jets remain led offensively by forward Nathaniel Fuller with four goals and two assists, followed by Jason Johnson with two goals and three assists. Nicholas Pastuck, Brayden Larade, Xavier Johnson, Ryan Chisholm and Ben Leudy round out the offense with four points each.
The ChiroCare Kings are led by Matthew Revels with a team-leading five goals and one assist. Turner Mombourquette, Morgan Rae, Blake Whebby, Jared Fraser, Ryan DeWolfe and Cole Faulkner each enter Saturday's game with four points apiece.
In goal, Jonathan Dolomont has appeared in four games for the Jets this season. The North Sydney netminder has a 2-2 record with a 3.46 goals-against-average and a 0.840 save percentage. Andre LeClair is 1-1 with a 2.00 goals-against-average and a 0.920 save percentage.
Marcus Pettipas and Grant Sanford hold down the goaltending duties for the ChiroCare Kings. Pettipas has played in four games and has 2-2 record with a 2.22 goals-against-average with a 0.920 save percentage. As for Sanford, he's appeared in three games and has a record of 0-3 with a 2.25 goals-against-average along with a 0.920 save percentage.
Following Saturday's game, the Jets will hit the road for a two-game weekend series, Nov. 18-19, with games against the Admirals and Basin Armada. The team will play the Admirals on Nov. 18 at 8:30 p.m. at St. Margarets Centre in Tantallon, before facing the Armada on Nov. 19 at 12:15 p.m. at BMO Centre in Bedford.
