Share Weekend Preview: Jets hit the road to face Admirals and Armada

The Cape Breton Jets will look to snap a two game losing streak this weekend on the road when they face the Admirals and Basin Armada.The Jets, currently in sixth place in the standings, will begin the road trip with a meeting against the first place Admirals on Saturday. Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m. at St. Margaret's Centre in Tantallon, N.S.
Cape Breton (3-3-0-1) and the Admirals (6-2-1-0) last met each other the first weekend of the Nova Scotia Minor Midget 'AAA' Hockey League regular season, Oct. 7-8, in New Waterford, with the visitors taking both games of the series 3-2 in a shootout and 5-3.
The Jets are led offensively by Nathaniel Fuller (four goals and one assist) and Jason Johnson (three goals and two assists). Brayden Larade, Ryan Chisholm and Ben Leudy round out the offense for the Jets with four points each.
As for the Admirals, they're led by Achim Duerr-Farrell, who's currently tied for the league-lead in points with 11. Jack Lettericke has three goals and seven assists, while Michael McDonald has five goals and four assists, followed by W. Patrick MacGilivary with a goal and five assists, and Jacob Christie with a goal and four helpers.
Jonathan Dolomont has appeared in five games for the Jets this season posting a 2-3 record with a 3.17 goals-against-average and a 0.860 save percentage. Meanwhile, Andre LeClair has a 1-1 record with a 2.00 goals-against-average and a 0.920 save percentage.
Adam Fisher and Bryson Uberoi share the goaltending duties for the Admirals. Fisher has played in five games thus far this season posting a 4-1 record with a 2.20 goals-against-average and a 0.920 save percentage. As for Uberoi, he has a record of 2-2 in four starts with a 2.43 goals-against-average and a 0.920 save percentage.
Following Saturday's game, the team will continue the road trip with a meeting with the Basin Armada (5-0-1-0) on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. at the BMO Centre in Bedford.
The Jets and Armada last met on Oct. 28 at the New Waterford and District Community Centre, a game which saw the visitors double the Cape Breton club 4-2.
Morgan Lake continues to lead the offense for the Armada with four goals and two assists. Matthew Delano has three goals and one assists, while Maxwell Pellerine has a goal and three assists. Connor Stone, Matthew Burden and John (Jack) Humphrey round out the scoring for the Armada with three points each.
In goal, Aidan Perry has handled the bulk of the load between the pipes for the Armada to this point, appearing in four games with a record of 3-1 along with a 1.67 goals-against-average and a 0.920 save percentage. Ty Allison is unbeaten in his first two starts this season, posting a 2-0 record with a 1.50 goals-against-average.
Like the Jets, the Armada will be in action on Saturday night as well. The Armada will host the last place MU Rhino Renovations at BMO Centre.
Cape Breton will return to home ice on Nov. 25 when they host the Armada at 7:30 p.m. at the New Waterford and District Community Centre. Admission is $5 each. Those 16 and under attend for free.
