Weekend Preview: Jets finish four-game road swing this weekend

The Cape Breton Jets will wrap up a four-game road swing this weekend with a pair of games against the Admirals and Basin Armada.The Jets, currently tied for second in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget 'AAA' Hockey League and riding a five game winning streak, will face the Admirals on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the St. Margaret's Centre in Tantallon.
Cape Breton (8-3-0-1) and the Admirals (8-3-1-0) last met on Nov. 18 with the Jets beating the Admirals 2-1. The Admirals lead the season series with the Jets 2-1, and are tied with the Cape Breton club for second in the league standings with 17 points.
The Jets are led offensively by Jason Johnson with six goals and six assists for 12 points. Nathaniel Fuller (six goals and three assists), Ryan Chisholm (four goals and five assists), Nicholas Pastuck (four goals and five assists), and Ben Leudy (three goals and five assists) round out the top five in points.
As for the Admirals, they're led by Achim Duerr-Farrell with eight goals and five assists for 13 points. Michael McDonald (six goals and five assists), Jack Lettericke (three goals and seven assists), Brennan Ware (two goals and four assists) and W Patrick MacGillvary (one goal and five assists) round out the club's top five point leaders.
Jonathan Dolomont has played in eight games for the Jets this season, posting a 5-3 record with a 2.73 goals-against-average and a 0.880 save percentage. Meanwhile, Andre LeClair has appeared in four games for Cape Breton, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.25 goals-against-average and a 0.920 save percentage.
Meanwhile, Adam Fisher and Bryson Uberoi have each shared time between the pipes for the Admirals this season. Fisher has played in six games, posting a 5-1 record with a 1.83 goals-against-average and a 0.940 save percentage. As for Uberoi, he's 3-3 in six games with a 2.12 goals-against-average and a 0.930 save percentage.
Following Saturday's game, the Jets will wrap up the weekend road trip with a game against the Basin Armada on Sunday. Game time is 12:15 p.m. at the BMO Centre in Bedford.
The Armada, who sit first overall in the seven-team league with a 8-2-2-0 record, last faced the Jets on Nov. 25, a game which saw Cape Breton defeat Basin 4-1 at the New Waterford and District Community Centre. The Jets lead the season series 2-1.
Basin is powered offensively by Aaron Pedvis with four goals and eight assists for 12 points. Morgan Lake (seven goals and four assists), Matthew Burden (three goals and six assists), Connor Stone (three goals and four assists), Christian Hopkins (five goals and one assist), Maxwell Pellerine (a goal and five assists) and Conor Greenfield (six assists) round out the team's top point getters.
Aiden Perry and Ty Allison hold down the Armada's goaltending duties. Perry has appeared in seven games, posting a 6-1 record with a 1.26 goals-against-average and a 0.940 save percentage. Meanwhile, Allison has a 2-3 record in five games with a 2.97 goals-against-average and a 0.880 save percentage.
The Jets will return to home ice on Dec. 16 when they host the Dartmouth Voyageurs in the team's final game before the Christmas break. Puck drop for the contest is set for 7:30 p.m. at the New Waterford and District Community Centre.
