Jets represented on NSMMAAHL Selects team for Ice Jam

The Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam Hockey Tournament

The Cape Breton Jets will be represented at The Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam hockey tournament next month in Bedford.

Forwards Jason Johnson and Adam Wilson will each suit up for the Nova Scotia Minor Midget 'AAA' Hockey League Selects team, participating in this year's tournament, an event for major midget and major bantam teams.

Johnson of Eskasoni and Wilson of River Ryan were among 20 players picked for the team.

Meanwhile, the Jets will also be represented on the bench as Brandon Syms will join head coach Erin King (Dartmouth) and assistant coaches Paul Briffett (Basin) and Tony McCarthy (Admirals) as an assistant coach on the club.

The Nova Scotia Minor Midget 'AAA' Hockey League also announced that Jets players Nicholas Pastuck and Ryan Chisholm will serve as affiliate players for league-wide team.

The Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam, which attracts scouts from across Eastern Canada and the United States, will run Jan. 10-14 in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
